Matthew Swan, CFO
A licensed CPA, Matthew Swan is the managing partner of Swan+Gardiner CPAs. He has extensive experience in tax planning, tax preparation, business consulting and strategic planning.
Prior to becoming CFO for Metrics Global, Matt and Wendy Yurgo frequently held joint lectures to assist small business owners with proper structure and asset protection.
Swan graduated from Idaho University with an accounting degree in 1984, and worked for Peat Marwick and Deloitte & Touche for several years prior to starting his own firm in 1990. Due to his firm’s rapid growth, Matt formed a partnership with Bruce Gardiner, which quickly grew the firm from a small staff of four to 15 people.
Matt has worked extensively with clients who have corporations, limited partnerships, pension plans, and trusts, thereby becoming very knowledgeable in the area of entity accounting and maintenance.
Matt lives with his wife and their four boys. He enjoys singing, traveling, playing sports, and being with his family. He is a published author and enjoys writing books.
